One day, having an Olympus D-540 wasn't enough for me, I wanted more than just 2 seconds shutter and a fixed lens with little zoom. Less then a year later after receiving the camera for Christmas, the camera was dead, the victim of dust gumming up the lens component. This gave me a chance to get a camera that gave me more control in the end.

I had no money to spare, but luckily I had kind folks from my website who donated, and eventually I raised the funds to purchase an Olympus C-765. With this purchase I felt this would be all I would need til the time I was a senior in high school (I was a freshman at the time). This estimate worked for sometime. I bought a fisheye lens and continued shooting with the camera. Before long I wanted the depth-of-field, the feel, and the clarity that an SLR offered, as well as an unlimited range of lenses and exposure times. This became very evident after a trip to the United Artists Theater. A 15 second exposure combined with a bad manual focus made for a terrible shot. From this moment I began the hunt for a true dSLR, hopefully, just hopefully a d70 or d70s.

A recent sale of photographs netted me some cash, just barely enough to get a camera like the d50. I searched around on Craigslist daily, hoping one day there would be an awesome deal. One day a deal I couldn't refuse turned up, a d70s body with everything except for the lenses. It was an offer I knew I had to jump on. A few weeks earlier, out of the blue a friend on Flickr offered me two lenses for use that he had no use for. I soon picked up my d70s and lenses, and began to take photography as serious as ever.

I had loosely ran SNWEB.ORG Photography back when I had my Olympus C-765, vowing to step it up to the next level once I acquired an SLR. Now it has happened and now I can pursue a freelance career attempting to shoot it all, from architecture to people, combining my self-taught photography skills and artistic edges. I'm glad to be able to have photography as an outlet to receive compensation for my personal view thru the viewfinder.

The city of Detroit has offered me what no other city has, a unique view of the world that combined, cannot be seen anywhere else in the world. The abandoned buildings offer a glimpse into what was, and views that continue to inspire me. This is what got my interest in photography. I had to share what many would see as common bricks and musty, dusty interiors, because they contained so much beauty, beauty that goes unnoticed. From this study I have ventured into bands, models, and other subjects.

I hope that with a camera viewfinder I can present my perspective to you.
